Job summary

Avient in Hickory, NC is seeking an entry-level Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. You will perform weigh-up or packaging duties within production to meet recipe specifications, quality targets, and delivery requirements in line with Avient policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Must have basic math skills and be able to apply them to weights, measures, and conversions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start machines, verify controls follow procedures.
• Ensure correct documentation and ingredients for batches.
• Assist production operators and supply materials to maintain operation.
• Perform machine cleaning and required paperwork/computer inputs.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and adhere to HS&E regulations.
