Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. is seeking a Packaging Technologist to lead development, testing, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions.

This role coordinates packaging projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring packaging meets consumer needs, food safety, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and cost objectives. You will collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and other teams to troubleshoot and optimize packaging, support sustainability goals, and work with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of experience in packaging, food production, or food technology.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Understanding of packaging applications via the R&D process.

Responsibilities

Lead packaging development for new product launches and continuous improvement.
Coordinate testing across production facilities and document results.
Maintain up-to-date packaging specifications, weights, and measures.
Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and other teams to optimize packaging.
Support sustainability goals through packaging improvements.
Research new packaging tech and trends to share with teams.
Travel between facilities and vendor sites as needed.
