Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a Packaging Team Lead in Framingham, MA to oversee packaging operations, lead a team, and ensure production efficiency and product quality. The role emphasizes machine operation knowledge, data entry accuracy in ERP, and adherence to SOPs.

The ideal candidate has brewery packaging experience with some managerial background, is capable of coordinating with maintenance and admin teams, and can handle long hours and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate packaging machines and understand processes.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work long/flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversees training of new operators on machines.
• Enforces policies and SOPs.
• Communicates mechanical issues with Packaging Manager, Maintenance, and Packaging Director.
• Leads the department in the absence of the Packaging Manager.
• Manages packaging data entry and ERP accuracy.
• Supports inventory counts and efficiency data analysis.
• Maintains 5S organization and weekly cleaning schedule.
• Works with admin to align yields and brite tank data.

Job description

Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking an organized and resourceful individual to join our team as a Packaging Team Lead.

The Packaging Team Lead is responsible for overseeing packaging operations and ensuring smooth workflow. This role requires a deep understanding of machine operations, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate team members to maintain production efficiency and product quality.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Oversees training of new operators on machines
• Enforces all company and department policies and SOPs
• Communicates any mechanical issues with the Packaging Manager, Maintenance team and Packaging Director.
• Communicates any interpersonal staff issues with Packaging Manager, Packaging Director and/or Peoples Ops as appropriate
• Leads the department in the absence of the Packaging Manager
• Ensures all packaging splits match yield in the brite tank, making necessary adjustment with the administrative team
• Ensures the completion of data entry associated with the packaging team
• Ensures all data entered into ERP systems is correct
• Assists Packaging Manager with monthly Inventory counts
• Enters and analyzes efficiency dataLeads department through product and or format change overs as efficiently as possible.
• Works with the Packaging Manager to create and maintain a 5S organization for the department
• Ensures adherence to weekly cleaning schedule for the department

Job Requirements:

• Able to work Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm
• 2 years of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience required
• Previous Managerial experience preferred
• Machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
• Standing for long periods of time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Available to work long and/or flexible hours
• Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation

Compensation/Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 per Hour
