Job summary

Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a Second Shift Packaging Team Lead to oversee packaging operations and ensure production efficiency and product quality. The role requires machine operation knowledge, troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate a team across shifts.

Monday–Thursday 1:00pm–11:00pm; 2 years packaging experience (brewing) preferred, with management experience a plus. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k matching, PTO, and more.

• 2 years of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience required.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees training of new operators on machines
• Enforces all company and department policies and SOPs
• Communicates mechanical issues with Packaging Manager, Maintenance team and Packaging Director
• Leads the department in the absence of the Packaging Manager
• Ensures data entry and ERP data accuracy for packaging
• Assists Packaging Manager with monthly inventory counts
• Leads packaging changeovers and maintains 5S organization in department
• Keeps weekly cleaning schedule adherence

Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking an organized and resourceful individual to join our team as a PM shift Packaging Team Lead.

The Packaging Team Lead is responsible for overseeing packaging operations and ensuring smooth workflow. This role requires a deep understanding of machine operations, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate team members to maintain production efficiency and product quality.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Oversees training of new operators on machines
• Enforces all company and department policies and SOPs
• Communicates any mechanical issues with the Packaging Manager, Maintenance team and Packaging Director.
• Communicates any interpersonal staff issues with Packaging Manager, Packaging Director and/or Peoples Ops as appropriate
• Leads the department in the absence of the Packaging Manager
• Ensures all packaging splits match yield in the brite tank, making necessary adjustment with the administrative team
• Ensures the completion of data entry associated with the packaging team
• Ensures all data entered into ERP systems is correct
• Assists Packaging Manager with monthly Inventory counts
• Enters and analyzes efficiency dataLeads department through product and or format change overs as efficiently as possible.
• Works with the Packaging Manager to create and maintain a 5S organization for the department
• Ensures adherence to weekly cleaning schedule for the department

Job Requirements:

• Able to work Monday - Thursday 1:00pm - 11:00pm
• 2 years of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience required
• Previous Managerial experience preferred
• Machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
• Standing for long periods of time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Available to work long and/or flexible hours
• Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
