Job summary

Klondike Cheese Company seeks a Packaging Supervisor for 1st shift in Monroe, WI, 5:00am start, Tue-Sat. You will oversee daily packaging operations, assign tasks, ensure GMP and HACCP compliance, and coach staff to improve efficiency and quality. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, paperwork accuracy, staffing planning, and cross-training. Eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus; apply via company site or HR.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Cheese or food experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of department operations and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to facilitate discussions with clear speech.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Knowledge of food ingredients and packaging processes.
• Ability to multitask and manage high-volume work.
• Basic math and computer skills; good audit techniques.
• Ability to prepare brief reports and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operational activities of the packaging department.
• Coordinate, advise, and supervise daily tasks for packaging staff.
• Oversee setup and operation of packaging equipment.
• Communicate with management, supervisors, and staff daily.
• Ensure timely completion of paperwork and records.
• Monitor adherence to GMP, safety, sanitation, and HACCP.
• Coach subordinates and administer disciplinary actions with management input.
• Conduct scheduling and cross-training for coverage and safety.
• Review timesheets and approve payroll-related documents bi-weekly.
• Support the plant's quality and safety programs and perform related duties.
