Job summary
Openwork is seeking a Packaging Specialist for the 2nd shift in Houston, TX. You will package products, read packing lists, inspect materials, and prepare shipments while operating a forklift. This hands-on role requires 2+ years in manufacturing or packaging and the ability to read English and basic measurements.

Qualifications
- 2+ years in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or material-handling
- Forklift experience required; assessed in interview
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Ability to pass a basic math test and background check
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Responsibilities
- Package rolled and flat products per customer requirements
- Read and follow packing lists, shop copies, and packing instructions
- Inspect materials for dimensions, quality and defects
- Prepare pallets, crates, shrink wrap, labels, and export packaging
- Operate a forklift to move, stage, and prepare materials for shipment
- Label and move scrap materials and maintain records
- Keep areas clean, organized, and safe and follow safety procedures
