Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a temporary Packaging Specialist to support multiple positions on the production line in Kent, WA. The role focuses on packaging tasks, quality checks, and adherence to GMP and food safety standards.

You will rotate through Slide Operator, Pouch Placer, Boxer, Bread Layer, and Bulk Packer, maintain clean work areas, and follow attendance policies while overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous food manufacturing experience.
  • Adhere to GMP, safety and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through all assigned positions of the production line.
  • Accurately count products during packaging and stack them in layers within boxes.
  • Monitor the flow and quality of products on conveyor lines and remove, stack, or prepare products as needed.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process, including monitoring checkpoints such as the metal detector.
  • Ensure products meet food safety and quality standards; report safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Stack loaded boxes on pallets, operate taping machinery, cartoners, and incline conveyors as needed.
  • Stamp, label, or change pack codes on boxes and equipment according to production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety, and food safety standards.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other production duties as assigned.

Summary

Essential Functions
