GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Sr. Packaging Project Manager is a perpetually client-facing role at Bass Pro Shops Base Camp, managing
projects for the Packaging production team and assisting in day-to-day Client Services team needs. The Sr.
Packaging Project Manager is seasoned in maintaining positive client relations and is an experienced project
manager accountable for ensuring work performed is accurate and timely on multiple client projects from
beginning to end.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop long-term client partnership with Product Development client that results in a mutually
beneficial, growth-oriented business and working relationship - Maintain solid understanding of client's brands, customer base, and product offering
- Manage multiple, large-scale projects from beginning to end for the Bass Pro Shops Product Development
team - Write project and creative briefs using industry tools and processes (strategy, hours allocation, project
scope definition, milestone management, etc.) and effectively communicate to client and internal teams - Lead meetings with client teams and Quad creative teams
- Collaborate on developing objectives, strategies, goals, and executional plans for client projects
- Ensure client is satisfied with performance and level of service
- Take a proactive role to improve workflow process and job profitability
- Ensure adherence to established processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client requests
- Build and maintain client relationships with low-level, mid-level, and even senior-level management
- Evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of services provided to the client by Quad
- Suggest opportunities to Client Services Manager to educate the client on Quad's services
- Keep Client Services Manager informed regularly of events/issues that could impact client relationship
- Work with the Client Services Manager to think strategically and tactically to meet client needs and to
improve current services
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience serving clients and leading projects in an agency or internal creative
department (retail marketing, corporate marketing department and advertising agency); experience with
packaging production and creative processes preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to inform, educate, and influence staff to support goals and objectives
- Ability to work with a team to think strategically and tactically to align Quad's services with client needs
- Understanding of project management, packaging design production, marketing strategy, creative,
photography/videography, print production, media, and digital - Knowledge of packaging and creative design strategies and processes
- Knowledge of customer services, operations, account service, best practices and proven ability to
communicate and implement - Ability to respond quickly and effectively to clients' needs and issues
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to
clients, associates, and management - Ability to understand and manage the execution of tasks to achieve client’s marketing goals
- Ability to achieve a spirit of teamwork and cooperation with client and internal teams
- Ability to handle many issues, items, and functions at one time and deal rapidly with multiple items in
prioritized sequence - Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them as scheduled
- Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and schedules with client’s business
environment - Demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving
- Demonstrate the ability to act on own initiative with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness provide constructive feedback to non-reporting team members

- Demonstrate willingness to work together with peers and other Quad departments to improve quality
and performance - Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suite
