Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Production Associate II. The role includes inspecting products, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and entering data into production software. You will communicate across shifts and support continuous improvement while adhering to safety and food safety guidelines.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with overtime as needed. 4 on/4 off schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform visual and procedural quality inspections.
• Ability to use PPE and maintain safe work practices.
• Experience entering data into production software.

Responsibilities

• Inspects product throughout shift and notifies leads/quality tech of defects.
• Keeps work area and machinery clean and safe.
• Enters production and quality information into production software.
• Communicates pertinent information to next shift.
• Performs cleanup, painting, and housekeeping duties.
• Maintains positive working relationships and supports continuous improvement.
• Follows safety and food safety guidelines.
• Stages and maintains packaging materials.
