Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Packaging Process Support Specialist (PSS) to lead the daily operations of production and packaging lines. You will provide hands-on support to the Operations Supervisor, ensuring smooth workflow, quality, and safety on shift.

Essential duties include equipment troubleshooting, coordinating with maintenance, enforcing LOTO and PPE protocols, and coaching team members to adhere to regulatory standards and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience leading teams in manufacturing or production.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and contribute to problem solving.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid forklift license (PIT).
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience is essential for safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of production or packaging lines with the team.
• Provide consistent support to the Operations Supervisor and maintain shift communication.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment; troubleshoot and coordinate with maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/Quality standards and complete routine regulatory checks.
• Promote safety and lean practices (5S, continuous improvement) on the line.
• Train new and existing associates and manage break rotations.
