Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Lewisburg, Ohio, seeks a Process & Product Implementation Engineer – Packaging to lead packaging material testing, equipment changes, and sustainability initiatives at the plant level. You will manage trials, validate line performance, and ensure safe, quality, and efficient production.

The role emphasizes collaboration with R&D, Operations, and Quality & Food Safety to scale innovations while maintaining OEE and waste reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related discipline with 1–3 years of manufacturing/engineering experience; OR HS Diploma with 5+ years of relevant hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: experience in food/beverage manufacturing or high-speed packaging operations.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level packaging trials from protocol to reporting.
• Act as on-site technical authority during line validations and assess film machinability, sealing, throughput, and package integrity.
• Identify and mitigate industrial/technical risks before full rollout; support GO/NO-GO decision gates.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, QFS, CVS, and Regional R&D Deploy teams.
