Job summary

Mars, Incorporated (Royal Canin) is seeking a Process & Product Implementation Engineer - Packaging at the Lewisburg, OH facility. The role drives packaging trials, material and process changes, and sustainability initiatives while maintaining safety, quality, and line efficiency.

As the factory-level R&D representative, you will ensure smooth handovers, define standard operating conditions, and apply SPC tools to minimize waste and optimize packaging performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering or related technical field with 1–3 years of manufacturing/engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar CI certification preferred.
• Experience in food/beverage manufacturing or high-speed packaging operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level packaging trials from protocol to reporting.
• Act as on-site technical authority during line validations and assess packaging performance.
• Identify and mitigate risks before full rollout; support go/no-go decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, QA/FS, and R&D deploy.
