Job summary

Pregis in Elgin, IL is seeking a Utility to support press operations, loading the roll stand, auto splicer and label applicators, while maintaining ink and glue levels. The role requires logging inventory, preparing materials for upcoming jobs and helping with setup and wash-ups.

Under direction of a Production Supervisor, you will help sustain quality and efficiency, work safely in a fast-paced environment, follow SOPs, and participate in Pregis apprenticeship for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Five years of progressively responsible related experience.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and operate roll stand and auto splicer efficiently.
• Log all rolls per SOP and return leftover stock to inventory.
• Maintain ink viscosity and glue levels as needed.
• Keep line clean and assist with wash ups and setup.
• Follow line production to ensure materials for next job are ready.
• Actively participate in Pregis apprenticeship program.
• Understand and track press counts.
