Under direction of a Production Supervisor, you will help sustain quality and efficiency, work safely in a fast-paced environment, follow SOPs, and participate in Pregis apprenticeship for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Load and operate roll stand and auto splicer efficiently.
• Log all rolls per SOP and return leftover stock to inventory.
• Maintain ink viscosity and glue levels as needed.
• Keep line clean and assist with wash ups and setup.
• Follow line production to ensure materials for next job are ready.

Summary Of Job

The Utility role supports efficient press operations by loading and operating the roll stand, auto splicer, and label applicators while maintaining consistent ink and glue levels. Responsibilities include logging inventory, preparing materials for upcoming jobs, assisting with setup and wash-ups, and ensuring the line remains clean. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, along with active participation in the Pregis apprenticeship program to foster continuous improvement. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, team players, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor/ Operator III or Operator I, oversees production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.

Overview:

Has ability to assist in the operation of multiple types of equipment according to all Standard Operating Procedures. Maintains Quality Standards and helps operate machine within acceptable levels for waste and productivity. Maintains consumables (paper ink water etc.) during production

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Load and Operates roll stand and auto splicer efficiently.
• Log all rolls as required by Standard Operating Procedures. Return left over stock to inventory according to S.O.P.
• Helps to maintain consistent viscosity and PH level of ink fountains when necessary.
• Maintain all glue levels as needed as well as monitoring thickness of glue.
• Maintains continuous operations of label applicators.
• Assist in M/R operations, setting up printer and gluers etc., as instructed by operator.
• Assist in Wash ups as instructed by operator.
• Assist in keeping line clean in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and as instructed by Line Operator.
• Understands and demonstrates ability to accurately track press counts.
• Follow line production to get necessary supplies for next job ready before press shuts down. Inclusive of paper, ink, plates, glue, job instructions.
• Actively engages in Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company.
• Keep general area clean and free of debris and spills of any kind.

• Pay range: $20.00-$24.00
• 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd Shift.
