Job summary

Pregis LLC in Illinois is seeking an Operator 1 to join our manufacturing team. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will oversee production of high-quality packaging products at cost targets and on-time delivery.

You will operate converting and finishing equipment, set up lines, and train teammates as needed. This hourly, full-time role demands adherence to safety, quality, and process improvement standards, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating converting lines and finishing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consumables during runs, including adhesives, paper, and labels.
• Operate label applicators and hotmelt systems.
• Read job tickets and prepare all required components.
• Set up and operate inline equipment (gluing, labeling, die units).
• Train others when requested.
• Aim to meet KPI targets for productivity, waste, and quality.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping compliance.
