Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the plant to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment across the facility. The role requires hands-on work with electrical and hydraulic systems and a strong focus on preventative maintenance.

The position involves installing and maintaining equipment, operating machine shop tasks, and performing duties during the 3rd shift. Candidates must meet the minimum 6 months of mechanical experience or be a graduate from an industrial maintenance

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application.
Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
Willingness to perform basic math functions and to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
Install and maintain utility equipment including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
Change out and setup equipment and complete related prefabrication tasks.
