Job summary
Tyson Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across our plant. This discretionary role requires hands-on maintenance, installation of hydraulic and utility systems, and adherence to safety and GMP standards.
Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, equipment changes, and operating machine shop tasks. You must be able to work overtime, outdoors in varying conditions, and complete CMMS/SAP
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of mechanic work experience or completion of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Willing to work 1st shift and overtime/weekends as needed.
- Able to perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
- Install and maintain utility equipment including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
- Change out and setup equipment.
- Complete prefabrication tasks and run machine shop equipment.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Keep work areas clean.
- Comply with safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
