The role requires familiarity with hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyors, welding, and pneumatic systems; involves heavy lifting and shift work including Sundays and holidays.

The position emphasizes safe work practices, documentation, and adherence to Tyson policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
• Must possess the ability to read and comprehend labels, numbers, and instructions, as well as communicate effectively.
• Maintenance crews typically work 4-5 days per week, with 2-3 days off and will include shifts on Sundays and some major holidays when necessary; Welding experience preferred.
• Must be available to work C shift (overnight).
• The successful candidate(s)must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Effective 01-02-2025.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and 3 times limit.
