Job summary

Lamb Weston is seeking a Packaging Operator Trainee to join the crew on the packaging floor in New York. Under supervision, you will set up equipment, monitor bag weights and seals, and ensure codes are correct while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You’ll assist with line changes, participate in safety programs, and learn to operate multiple machines throughout the shift. You will carry out duties with a focus on process quality, standard operating procedures, and teamwork to ensure

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must be able to go up and down stairs throughout the Shift.
• Must be on feet all day (60/40 walking/standing).
• Must have a basic Mechanical and Computer aptitude.
• Understand basic Math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up packaging equipment and ensure bag weights, seals, and codes meet quality attributes.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of the work area and follow 5S principles.
• Complete Hands-on Validation with limited retraining opportunities.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and communicate findings to teammates.
• Participate in safety, quality, and shift meetings and follow LOTO procedures.
