Lamb Weston APAC in American Falls, Idaho is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate and monitor packaging equipment from freezer exit through finished goods. The role emphasizes maintaining safety, accuracy in packaging quality, and adherence to standard work procedures.

Responsibilities include monitoring line performance, adjusting equipment, and leading packaging laborers. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, stand long hours, and work in extreme conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills oral and written.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
• Must have the manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, monitor and adjust packaging equipment from freezer exit through cased goods.
• Monitor line-flow rates, packaging material, scales, baggers, case-packers, case erectors, sealers, and codes.
• Ensure proper container sizing and complete package quality checks (weights, seals, codes, glue patterns).
• Record equipment efficiencies and downtime; complete standard work and defect handling.
• Troubleshoot equipment, identify problems and notify appropriate personnel.
• Provide direction to packaging laborers and temporary staff for efficient operation.
