Job summary

Athletic Brewing Company LLC seeks a packaging associate in San Diego, CA. You will assist in packing products into cans or kegs, operate and adjust packaging line stations, and ensure date codes and trays are handled correctly.

You will also learn forklift basics and support Netsuite tasks such as pallet building and tag printing. Key duties include maintaining clean, safe work areas, submitting daily logs for CIP and downtime, and communicating status with the team.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills - Word, Excel, email, NetSuite a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Package product into cans or kegs following SOPs and adjust as needed.
• Operate and monitor packaging line stations; start/stop machines and setup.
• Change date codes, place trays, and handle packaging materials.
• Shadow Operator to learn basic forklift operations and safety.
• Communicate packaging status to management and team members.
• FIll daily packaging logs, CIP, Downtime, and cleaning records.
• Support Netsuite tasks: build pallet, print pallet tags, and related duties.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment per OSHA/GMP.
• Attend sensory panels and flavor training as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Basic ability to package product into cans or kegs following all standard operating procedures, while also being able to complete production adjustments based on the changing needs of the business. Able to master basic operations of each machine station including starting and stopping machines, station setup, how to change a date code, proper placement of trays, where to put glue in, and packaging into machinery. Monitor basic operations of packaging line machinery by shadowing Operator 2+ Able to be trained to perform basic forklift operations Communicate with management and other packaging team members on the status of packaging. Collect and submit pallet tags for cans, lids, and other packaging materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and GMPs. Familiarize with product and attend sensory pannels/off flavor training. Basic ability to navigate Netsuite - builds pallet. print pallet tags, etc. Fills out daily packaging forms to update daily logs for CIPs, Cleaning, Downtime, etc. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Job Details

Location: San Diego, CA Schedule: Monday - Friday - 1st or 2nd shift, subject to change Salary: Commensurate with experience - Base salary and opportunities for performance bonuses. Hourly Rate $23/hr
