Job summary

General Formulations in Sparta, MI is seeking a Slitter Helper to ensure packaging materials are ready for each shift's orders, label rolls accurately, and prepare them for shipment according to customer specifications.

You will assist in removing rolls from rewind machinery, operate a hand jack or hoist as needed, and maintain a safe, clean work area while following PPE and LOTO requirements. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn packaging processes and procedures.
• Ability to operate safely around moving equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare packaging supplies for the order that is scheduled.
• Verify shipments and determine skid requirements for orders.
• Label and package rolls according to customer specs.
• Assist in removing rolls from rewind shafts and prepare for wrappers.
• Operate a hand jack or hoist as needed; keep work area clean.
• Adhere to PPE, LOTO, and safety rules; work well in a team.
