Job summary

Summit Hill Foods Inc is seeking a Packaging Operator to rotate across packaging lines and support the production team. You will follow safety rules, operate packaging machinery, and assist with changeovers, PMs, and line adjustments.

The role requires strong communication, math and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and timely data entry into the production system. forklift operation may be involved.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, computer skills and math accuracy are essential.
• Ability to analyze, plan and troubleshoot in a fast paced production environment.
• Licenses/certifications: completion of skills testing and mechanical aptitude test.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, keep a hazard-free work area and wear PPE as required.
• Operate multiple packaging lines and related equipment; assist PMs, adjustments and changeovers.
• Refer complex mechanical issues to lead operator and maintenance.
• Operate forklift to move ingredients and finished goods when needed.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of area and equipment; report issues.
• Accurately enter production data and adhere to the schedule with the department.
