Job summary

Hedy Holmes Staffing Services seeks a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to operate and monitor packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will maintain efficient packaging operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize waste, and ensure products meet quality standards.

You will set up and run vertical and horizontal form-fill packaging equipment, monitor film usage, adjust coding ribbons, complete logs, and support training for new staff while maintaining a clean

Qualifications

• Previous packaging machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with OIT/HMI systems and process controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment to support the manufacturing process.
• Set up, operate, and monitor vertical form-fill and horizontal form-fill packaging equipment.
• Monitor machinery to ensure proper operation and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and adjust weighing equipment to minimize waste and improve accuracy.
• Monitor film usage and reduce waste.
• Manage downtime through timely film and coding ribbon changes.
• Identify equipment problems and adjust as needed.
• Monitor line performance and troubleshoot issues affecting production.
• Use OIT/HMI systems to monitor and adjust equipment.
• Complete production and line logs accurately.
• Operate barcode equipment as required.
• Perform quality checks on products and packaging.
• Assist training of new employees on packaging processes and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow procedures.
