Job summary

Comar in Buena, NJ is seeking a production operator to operate and tend packaging equipment, start machines, monitor for malfunctions, and ensure quality of finished products in a fast-paced environment. You will follow GMP guidelines, participate in sanitation and safety practices, perform basic inspections, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting company quality standards.

Prior manufacturing experience and ability to read safety rules and procedures are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or Vo-Tech School graduate is required.
• 1–3 years prior experience as a production operator.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO13485 manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Excellent math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend packaging machines and downstream packaging automation equipment.
• Start machines and monitor operation, reporting malfunctions.
• Clear alarms, jams, sensors, and detectors.
• Stage packaging material and ensure quality of finished product.
• Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow GMP guidelines.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality guidelines.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
