Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Packaging Operator 1 for the 1st shift in Fort Worth, TX. Work hours are 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $18.95 per hour. The role includes operating packaging lines, ensuring quality, and training teammates.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and safety adherence are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging lines according to procedures and customer specs.
• Document quality checks and enter data into the system.
• Read and implement product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training backups.
• Pull product samples and test weight and labeling against specs.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality guidelines.

Position: Packaging Operator 1

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 7 AM –; 3 PM

Days: M-F

Pay: $18.95

Required Qualifications: Strong attention to detail, strong safety adherence, ability to work standing for long periods of time, computer experience, and experience working in a WMS system with RF guns.

Role Purpose

Efficiently operates packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications, while meeting all quality standards.

Oversees the activities of associates assigned to specific packing area/product.

Key Accountabilities

• Package product into bags, boxes, or totes per customer specifications.
• Document quality checks and enter into the system.
• Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
• Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling and or weight against specs.
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
• Must be able to perform all duties of packaging operator II.
• Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
• Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
• Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
