Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a Packaging Operator 1 on the 1st shift (5am-1:30pm, Mon-Thu). The role focuses on operating packaging lines, ensuring product quality, and meeting customer specs.

You will package products, document quality checks, and train new associates while maintaining safe, organized warehouse conditions.

A high school diploma is preferred and at least 1 year of warehouse experience is required; benefits and tuition reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• Preferred: data entry in warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Package product into bags, boxes, or totes per customer specifications.
• Document quality checks and enter into the system.
• Read and disseminate information on product specifications and packaging requirements.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
• Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling and/or weight against specs.
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
• Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
• Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
• Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.

The core responsibilities of the role include:

• Conducted inbound and outbound shipment inspections by verifying product counts, comparing inventory to manifests and customer orders, and ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, labeling, and condition.
• Identified and reported shortages, damages, mis-shipments, and product quality concerns while maintaining accurate documentation and shipping records.
• Operated forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload freight, support inventory counts, and maintain a safe, secure, and organized warehouse environment.

Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 5am-1:30pm
Days: Monday-Thursday
Pay: 18:95
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience doing data entry in a warehouse environment
