Qualifications

• Must have the ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns.
• Ability to carry out work orders, make decisions on bottle jams.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Basic math skills to calculate bottles per box and sequences.
• Speak, write and read effectively in English to understand packing labels and notices.
• Ability to print legibly and fill out forms.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be ready to begin packing immediately at the workstation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boxes for packers.
• Operate the box machines, tape and glue type as required.
• Move packed materials into the staging area.
• Inspect bottles on assigned machines every 2 hours and record findings.
• Verify and label packed boxes.
• Wrap finished product after QA inspection and pallet tagging.
• Transfer palletized product to the warehouse using a hand truck.
• Relieve Packers for breaks and lunch.
• Perform machine repacks before the end of the shift.
• Rework red-tagged product at the machine when possible.
• Keep bottles off the floor at all times.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Cover all open cartons.
• Ensure no extra boxes on production floor.
• Bring out necessary supplies for assigned machines.
• Report accidents and safety issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
