Job summary

Byrne, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Operator in East Syracuse, NY. You will set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot production equipment following SOPs to package dairy products.

This role requires a GED or high school diploma and 0-1 years in manufacturing. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $31.00 per hour; benefits include day-1 medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, and tuition assistance. Shift: 6pm–6:30am at 6750 Benedict Rd.

Qualifications

• A GED or high school diploma is required.
• 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates case packing equipment and Baumer machinery to package dairy products into cases, cartons, or secondary packaging according to specifications.
• Performs quality control on packaging output, checking case formation, placement, seal integrity, and overall package quality.
• Maintains routine maintenance on case packers and Baumer systems including cleaning, sanitizing, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting.
• Records production data, case counts, batch numbers, and equipment metrics; logs packaging runs and issues.
• Follows GMP and food safety protocols, including hygiene and PPE; maintains clean work areas around packaging equipment.
• Collaborates with team members, supervisors, and maintenance to coordinate schedules and report malfunctions.
