Job description

The Packaging Operator sets up, operates, and maintains production and packaging machines to produce gift presentation products. This role ensures quality standards are met, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports a safe, efficient work environment.

Starting pay is $21.35/hour plus $1.75/hour for 3rd shift differential (total $23.10/hour).

This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 11:30pm–8:00am.

This position is located in Leavenworth, Kansas. Relocation is not provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of production and packaging machines
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance
• Conduct quality inspections on in-process and finished goods; remove defective products
• Accurately complete production, defect, and shipping documentation in SAP
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems, drive results, and share process updates
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow all safety protocols
• Support multiple assignments and departments as needed; demonstrate flexibility
• Track and replenish packaging materials to minimize downtime
• Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities
• Learn and apply a wide range of quality systems and product specifications

Internal Qualifications

• You must have satisfactory or better attendance for the rolling 12 months prior to the closing date of the internal job posting.
• You must have been in your current job for at least 6 or 12 months, depending on the role.
• GA 35, 36, 37 – at least 6 months
• GA 38, 39, 40 – at least 12 months
• You may not have any disqualifying CRs (quality, performance, safety, behavior, etc.) in the 6 months prior to the closing date of the internal job posting.
