Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a Packager in Fort Wayne, IN to inspect finished products and pack them into cases for shipment. You will assist Batch Makers and support pre-/post-batch inspections, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and help store materials correctly.

The role runs on the 1st shift (5:00 am–3:30 pm) with a starting pay of $17 per hour. Education includes a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; experience in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in a related field.
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment by performing required pre-operational, in process and post batch inspections.
• Squeeze cartridges to assure they are good to ship
• Check product for quality and discard damaged product
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
• Cap or plug hose and plumbing fittings when not in use.
• Properly store all operating supplies in designated locations.
• Remove empty raw material containers and packaging before end of shift.
• Equipment must be kept clean of residue.
• Sweep and mop work areas; rinse and return tools after use.
• Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counting.
• Train designated employees on procedures as needed.
• Participate in safety and incident investigations.
