Job summary

Altium Packaging in New Castle, PA is seeking an entry-level Production Packaging Associate responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products. This role also loads, moves materials and operates packaging equipment while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities include safe work practices, punctuality, teamwork, quality inspections, correct labeling and packaging per customer requirements, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
• Work cooperatively with team to achieve production goals.
• Adhere to General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe.
• Monitor conveyors and clear jams from lines.
• Collect and place bottles in designated bins.
• Inspect bottles during production for quality and labeling accuracy.
• Escalate any bottle abnormalities or defects immediately.
• Monitor and replenish packaging material supplies as needed.
• Ensure correct labeling, description and packaging per customer requirements.
• Move finished goods to designated areas.
• Set up and organize workstations for efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Duties may vary by plant due to equipment/plant design.
• Overtime may be required as business dictates.
