Job summary

American Sugar Refining in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Packaging Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the packaging operation in a safe, environmentally responsible, and financially sound manner.

You will lead a diverse team, review daily operations with the leadership team, analyze production data to improve performance, track KPIs, and drive cost reductions through process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse leadership team to deliver production quality and quantity.
• Review daily packaging operations with leadership to align efficiency and schedule.
• Analyze production data and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Track and report KPIs, including OEE, Waste, Labor Utilization, Downtime, and Safety metrics.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process optimization.
• Manage departmental budgets and control COGS.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement and communicate clear performance expectations.
