Textron Systems in Utah is seeking a Full-time Packing/Mechanical Engineer III to design packaging for transportation, storage and handling of deliverables. You will create 3D drawings and technical data packages, and collaborate with suppliers within a multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, with eligibility for a Secret clearance. The position emphasizes transitioning designs to production, writing technical documents,

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Write specifications for packaging for transportation, storage and handling of items from a few to several hundred pounds.
• Participate in detailed design of structural components.
• Contribute to development and design integration of mechanical systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs and materials lists.
• Prepare high quality mechanical/electro-mechanical drawings for production and test.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create design reports and presentations summarizing results.
