The candidate will design packaging for items weighing from small to several hundred pounds, create 3D drawings, and develop technical data packages, working with suppliers in a multidiscipline team. Qualifications

• Knowledge of material properties, manufacturing processes, and structural design.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 transport requirements (shock, vibration, environmental hazards).
• Cad design using 3D digital product development tools and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Writing specifications for packaging for transportation, storage and handling of deliverable items weighing from a few to up to several hundred pounds.
• Participating in the detailed design of structural components.
• Member of a team responsible for development and design integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Creation of Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specifications and materials lists for components and assemblies.
