Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company in South Holland, IL seeks a Maintenance Mechanic in the Packaging Department to repair, report, and improve the machinery within the packaging line, helping to deliver a safe, quality food product.

You will read electrical schematics, interpret PLC ladder logic, service motors and related equipment, and work from sketches and blueprints. The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Four years of related mechanical or electrical trades experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Experience with PLC ladder logic and industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with safe maintenance practices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Understand PLC ladder logic and industrial electrical systems.
• Install, service, and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and related equipment.
• Move and replace machinery using forklifts and dollies.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on equipment and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to component level.
