Job summary

Filamatic, a leader in industrial packaging machinery, seeks a Sales Engineer in Baltimore to bridge customer requirements with Filamatic capabilities. You will qualify opportunities, translate specifications, and develop customer-ready technical proposals in partnership with Engineering and Finance.

You’ll deliver technical presentations and live demos for plant engineers, operations managers, and procurement teams, focusing on large, intermediate, and aftermarket projects while targeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or sales engineering within packaging machinery or industrial capital equipment
• Ability to interpret specifications, line layouts, and drawings to define scope and constraints
• Experience developing technical proposals and delivering presentations to mixed audiences
• Working knowledge of packaging line operations, OEE, and ROI/value frameworks
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and proposal tools

Responsibilities

• Qualify opportunities and translate customer specs into structured briefs for feasibility assessment
• Lead proposal development and coordinate with Application Engineering, Product Management, and Finance
• Deliver technical presentations and live or virtual product demonstrations
• Engage customers in early budget conversations and manage timelines for proposals
• Provide competitive intelligence and enablement to sales and marketing teams
• Support regional managers with technically complex opportunities and site visits
