Job summary

Shearer’s Foods, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to run and change over packaging lines, ensure adherence to recipes, control quality, and meet production targets in a fast-paced facility.

The PMO will monitor equipment, perform tests, collect data, and coordinate with team members, QA, and supervision. Lifting up to 60 lbs, overtime and weekend work may be required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Leadership demonstrated by setting an example and following policies.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and automation equipment; 2–5 years preferred as machine operator or maintenance apprentice.
• Basic computer skills to run production systems and verifications.
• Strong time management to complete changeovers and verifications on schedule.
• Flexible availability for training, pre-shift meetings, overtime, and weekend work.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 60 lbs and team lifting up to 75 lbs; standing for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up packaging equipment according to recipes and procedures.
• Perform changeovers, monitor variables, and conduct product quality tests.
• Collect data and report to QA and management; communicate changes to nearby team.
• Adhere to safety protocols, allergen handling requirements, and maintain a fast, repetitive pace.
