Job summary

Dieffenbach's Snacks is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Chambersburg, PA. You will run our packing machines, ensure accurate weights and seal integrity, and prepare equipment for each production run.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing or machine operation experience, are comfortable with physical work, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on GMPs and food quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing machines and own the process to ensure accurate weights and seal integrity.
• Prepare machines before shift and adjust for different product runs.
• Switch film rolls, adjust formers, and make quick production adjustments.
• Monitor seasoning flow to ensure consistent flavor in every bag.
• Manually inspect and hand-pack bags to maintain high quality.
• Assemble boxes, apply labels, and pack cases to customer specs.
• Sanitize equipment and keep the work area production-ready.
• Follow all GMPs and safety/food quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing (aka Your Daily Mission)

• Run the machines, own the process - You'll operate our packing machines like a boss, ensuring accurate weights, seal integrity, and just the right amount of seasoning.
• Pre-production prep - Get machines ready before the shift starts and fine-tune them on the fly for different product runs.
• Change it up - Switch out rolls of film, adjust formers, and make quick adjustments to keep production smooth.
• Seasoning scientist - Set and monitor the flow to make sure every chip gets the flavor it deserves.
• Inspector mode: ON - Manually check, inspect, and hand-pack bags to keep quality top-notch.
• Box it, sticker it, ship it - Assemble boxes, apply labels, and pack cases to customer specs like a packaging ninja.
• Be a clean machine - Sanitize equipment and keep your area (and yourself) production-ready.
• Safety + Food Quality = Always - Follow all GMPs, safety protocols, and food quality standards.
