Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to run, change over, and monitor 3–5 packaging lines. The role includes 12-hour day and night shifts with training pay earnings of $21.01 per hour on day shift and an additional $3 for night shift.

The PMO will uphold standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, communicating changes promptly to the team. Flexibility for weekends and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills to identify root causes on mechanical and automation equipment.
• Basic computer skills required to run production and perform routine verifications.
• Good time management to complete changeovers and schedule breaks around activity.
• Flexibility to work weekends/overtime and participate in training periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and change over 3–5 packaging machines, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Communicate changes and plans to nearby Team Members and supervision.
• Set up and operate packaging equipment, follow recipes and work procedures, collect data.
• Handle allergens, chemicals, and extreme equipment/temperature conditions.
• Multitask and prioritize tasks, using hand tools as required.
