Job summary

Colonial Group in Woodway, TX is seeking a dependable production crew member to support multiple machine centers and assist with packaging, labeling, and loading tasks. You will follow instructions, work with team members, and adapt to shifting priorities on the factory floor.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, can lift up to 45 pounds, read a tape measure, and are willing to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Preferred: prior experience in manufacturing/production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare area with equipment and materials per order requirements.
• Understand and follow factory cards and operator instructions.
• Help locate masters when not present at machine center.
• Work with other helpers and crew members for maximum efficiency.
• Communicate quality issues to operator and/or assistant operator.
• Set up and operate bundling or case sealer when required.
• Catches and packs boxes, and sets up master cartons.
• Move between machine centers as production needs dictate.
• Input information into system to create load tag.
• Switch duties with other crew members as required.
• Work independently and in a team, communicating effectively.
• Follow company policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change.
