Job summary

Colonial Group in Carrollton, TX is seeking an experienced manufacturing crew member to support machine setup, monitor packaging quality, and ensure proper stacking for palletizing. You will follow instructions, train helpers, and complete production and safety reports in a fast-paced plant environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 45 pounds, and be willing to work overtime on short notice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
• Manufacturing environment exposure with varying temperatures, machinery, and forklift traffic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine set-up in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Monitor box quality and communicate quality issues to operator and helper(s).
• Ensure finished boxes are properly stacked for unitizing and/or palletizing.
• Follow factory card instructions and operator directions.
• Maximize equipment utilization by assisting operator to run at capacity and speed.
• Assist with training helper(s) on machine duties.
• Complete reports accurately (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Lean Enterprise, Quality Data).
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping policies; follow production schedule and suggest improvements.
• Report scheduling issues to Supervisor and coordinate with crew for efficiency.
• Switch duties with crew members as required (operating, feeding, pulling, stacking, packing).
• Other duties may be assigned; regular attendance and timeliness required.
