Job summary

Sherwin‑Williams is seeking a production/packaging operator for first shift in Massillon, OH. You will set up packaging lines, operate filling equipment, monitor fill weights, inspect containers, and keep work areas clean and compliant with PPE and safety standards.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to quality standards, and adherence to security practices. A bonus may be earned based on performance and company plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have legal right to work without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review shop order to verify materials.
• Check spec sheet for instructions and markings.
• Operate filling equipment ensuring proper fill weights and speeds.
• Inspect containers for date code, lid closure and label placement.
• Pack containers and attach skid tags with identifying information.
• Complete production reports and material deviation forms.
• Count remaining inventory of packaging materials at end of run.
• Set up packaging and filling equipment.
• Make minor repairs and notify maintenance of major problems.
• Perform clean down procedures on equipment.
• Notify Supervisor or Quality Control of any problems with equipment or product.
• Keep areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety rules.
