Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a packaging line operator to perform set-ups, adjust production, and operate packaging/filling equipment on the 3rd shift. The role requires strict adherence to safety rules and PPE, with emphasis on accuracy of fill weights, labels, and date codes.

You will review shop orders, maintain machine speeds, document production, and coordinate with maintenance for major issues. Eligible candidates may receive a shift differential and a performance bonus based on company

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Review shop order to verify that all the proper materials are being used.
• Check spec sheet for instructions and proper package markings.
• Operate filling equipment, ensuring proper fill weights and machine speeds.
• Inspect filled containers for date code, lid closure, and label placement.
• Pack containers in boxes and on skids with tags and IDs.
• Complete production reports and material deviation forms for each order.
• Count remaining packaging materials at end of production run.
• Set up packaging and filling equipment.
• Make minor repairs or notify maintenance for major problems.
• Perform clean down procedures to production equipment.
• Advise Supervisor/Quality Control of problems with equipment or product not meeting specs.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety rules.
