Job summary

PepsiCo in Rosenberg, TX is hiring for a packaging operator to run multiple packaging lines, check dates and weights, and ensure products are sealed and correctly bagged. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and move for long periods, and willingness to work weekends and various shifts.

You will perform basic line maintenance, maintain a clean work area, and wear protective gear during changeovers.

Qualifications

You are at least 18 years of age or older.
You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift.
You have at least 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set-up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate code dates and weights and proper bagging.
Check that products are dated and sealed with minimal waste.
Maintain a clean and safe work area for all product.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on packaging machines (cleaning or changing knives, blades, pull-belts, tape machines, rollers).
Wear protective gear when using chemicals to clean and sanitize lines during changeovers.
Inspect conveyors and scales prior to start-ups and changeovers.
Troubleshoot issues and make operational adjustments.
