Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment recommended.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Basic math skills; able to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate code dates, weights, and proper bagging.
• Check that products are dated and sealed with minimal waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for all products.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines (cleaning, knife/blade changes, belts, rollers).
• Wear protective gear when cleaning and sanitizing lines during changeovers between products.
• Inspect conveyors and scales prior to line start-ups and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot issues and make operational adjustments.
