Job summary

Octopi Brewing in Madison, WI is seeking a Packaging Line Manager to lead a 24-hour packaging operation, owning safety, quality, efficiency, and team development across all shifts.

You will work cross-functionally with Brewing, Lab, Maintenance, and Warehouse to keep lines running and meet schedules, while building training systems and SOPs.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing management, strong leadership, and the ability to lift 55 lbs; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a 24-hour packaging team, coaching and training while upholding safety and quality goals.
• Plan and oversee daily packaging operations aligned with schedules and specs.
• Diagnose equipment issues and coordinate maintenance to keep lines running.
• Drive root cause analysis and data-driven process improvements across packaging lines.
• Develop training systems, SOPs, and competency tracking across shifts.
• Ensure GMP, GDP, OSHA, and safety compliance through audits and inspections.
• Partner with QA on product specs and cross-department planning.
