Job summary

L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, Somerset, NJ, is seeking a Packaging Line Mechanic on 2nd shift to maintain and improve packaging equipment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, reading schematics, and leading TPM projects to boost uptime and quality on the production line.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (education plus experience, including military technical training).
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and understand basic electricity and basic motor controls.
• Must be able to work flexible hours/shifts, including overtime.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis is required; no immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment on assigned packaging lines.
• Maintain and improve packaging machinery while ensuring safety and quality.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams for repairs.
• Lead TPM initiatives and drive continuous improvement using data.
• Coordinate with supervisors and shift teams; communicate issues and action plans.
• Train others and develop subject matter expertise; perform sanitization as needed.
• Maintain equipment documentation and ensure compliance with GMP and safety policies.
