Job summary

PCI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 in Rockford for a first-shift role. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment to support production and safety goals, working with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, basic math/computer skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. Packaging experience is a plus; overtime and weekend work may be required. Benefits included.

Qualifications

Must have at least 2-3 years applicable maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Basic mathematical and computer skills; ability to perform basic computer tasks.
High reasoning and problem-solving abilities; able to read instructions and manuals.
Preferred packaging experience and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Support packaging lines with routine and non-routine adjustments to ensure quality.
Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments.
Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
Escalate safety or quality issues per protocol and document actions taken.
Update setup documentation and assist with launches or validations.
