Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a hands-on Production Operator to keep core packaging lines running safely and efficiently. You will rotate across stations, support line relief, and respond quickly to equipment issues while upholding GMP and safety SOPs.

You will lead by example in a fast-paced environment, perform changeovers with attention to quality, and document batch and yield data using Weever Forms and Nexus LMS.

Qualifications

• Technical background with machinery experience required.
• HS diploma or equivalent education required.
• Hands-on operational experience with high-speed manufacturing/packaging machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to identify faults and deviations.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to prioritize in dynamic floor conditions.
• Knowledge of GMP, OSHA and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Line Relief & Shift Continuity: cover break rotations and outages to sustain production.
• Packaging Area Leadership: provide hands-on assistance and direct floor priorities to hit daily targets.
• Changeovers & CIL: assist in mechanical changeovers and sanitization to minimize downtime.
• Production Records & Digital Systems: track batch records and audit run metrics via Production Summary system.
• Subject Expertise & Team Capability: act as SME for equipment operation and training, drive AM initiatives.
